· The current List of FIPA Members is shown in Annex 1
· The 2003/2004 membership invoices were mailed in July 2003. While the FIPA membership fees remain at CHF 1,750 for an Associate and CHF 5,000 for a Principal membership, the rates charged in US Dollars and Euros had to be adjusted to more closely reflect today’s currency exchange rates. The adjusted fees are US$ 3,800 and Euro 3,200 for a Principal Membership and US$1,300 and Euro 1,100 for an Associate Membership.
· The current Status of 2003/2004 membership payment is shown in Annex 2. Payments still outstanding have been reflected in red on the report. Please contact the FIPA Secretariat if there are questions or to provide evidence that payment has been made.
· New Associates members to the 2003/2004 membership year are: NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) and ICAR-CNR Institute - WELCOME!
· Unfortunately Robert Bosch GmbH; TeliaSonera, Tryllian and Universidad Carlos have decided not to renew their membership for 2003/2004 and AEGIS has ceased their existence.
· Lost Wax Ltd. And University of Karlskrona Ronneby have not yet paid their 2002/2003 memberships and have failed to respond to any of numerous inquiries from the secretariat. NASA Goddard Space Flight Center had submitted a PO for the 2002/2003 dues but failed to pay and have not responded to any further inquiries either.
· The list of the FIPA members’ Official Representatives is shown in Annex 4. Member Delegates are reminded that the Official Representatives are the only points of contact for the correspondence between the Secretariat and Member Companies. It is very important that Companies nominate their representatives and that any change in representatives or their contact information be communicated to the Secretariat.
General
· As of the 1st of July, 2003, FIPA has moved its domicile from the firm of Jacquemoud & Stanislas in Geneva to a smaller law firm that can more effectively attend o our needs. The new official domicile of FIPA herewith is: Law offices of Me. Joelle Knopfel, 7, place de la Fusterie, P.O. Box 3362, 1211 Geneva 3, Switzerland.
· The collection and formatting of the financial data for the current FIPA accounts for the 4th fiscal quarter and fiscal year-end has been performed. KPMG has performed the annual audit, which will need to be approved by the General Assembly and signed by the President and Treasurer. The collection and formatting of the financial data for the current FIPA accounts for the 1st fiscal quarter has also been performed.
· FIPA Inform Volume 4 Issue 1 has been published and is available on the FIPA website. For additional hardcopies please contact the Secretariat.
· The Planning and Scheduling mailing list (ps@fipa.org) has been dissolved.
A complete list of the current 18 mailing lists is shown in Annex 3.
· Management and updating of website is now fully handled by the Secretariat. Please send contributions and suggestions for the website to the secretariat at secretariat@fipa.org.
· FIPA is very interested in receiving notification of any FIPA related papers being published so they can be maintained on the FIPA webpage as a service to the FIPA community. Papers of interest include those specifically about the work of FIPA, as well as more generally those that discuss aspects of multi-agent systems that are related to FIPA’s work. If you have an article, paper or technical report you would like to add to this site, please go to http://www.fipa.org/resources/documents.html
· Please be reminded to submit any relevant press releases or news stories for publication. Current Press releases and instructions on how to submit an article are found on the website and are easily accessible via the FIPA home page or directly at http://www.fipa.org/resources/press_releases.html
· Please remember the existence of the Job Corner page on the FIPA website. Members and non-members alike are invited to post relevant job openings. Current job postings and submission form for available positions are easily accessible through the FIPA home page or directly at http://www.fipa.org/resources/job_corner.html
· All members are invited to send their comments, additions and completions, as well as updates to existing information on the website to the Secretariat.
